13 Going on 30
Sarah and I headed back to the theater on this rainy/snowy April day. This is a fun movie! It's predictable, but the lively story, innocence, and really good performances liven it up and make it worth seeing.
Jennifer Garner (Alias) shines as this 13 year old girl trapped inside a 30 year old body. She is enthusiastic and really seems to embody a young teenager.
Mark Ruffalo is wonderful in this one - SO much better than the last loser role he got caught up in - In the Cut with Meg Ryan (stink-o). Here he is the epitome of the nice guy - the handsome man who is obviously the 'catch' but it wasn't so obvious when he was the fat, nerdy kid.
The adults as kids are portrayed amazingly well - each kid seems so closely to resemble the actor they grow up to be.
This is just simply a fun movie to see. Sarah is 15 and she loved it. I'm 43 and I loved it. :)
Rating - a 3 - FUN!
