Around the World in 80 Days
We love Jackie Chan and that was enough to get us in the doors for this one.
The surprise here was Steve Coogan as Phileus Fogg. We don't remember seeing him before. He does a good job and has some of the best lines!
I was told by a friend who saw this one first that it's a "park your brain by the door" kind of slapstick film. There was some of that, but on the contrary, we found it to be very interesting. There is quite a bit of history and much talking amongst old English chaps, which leads me to suspect that kids would squirm quite a bit in this one.
There are gorgeous and unique graphics, amazing sets, fabulous Jackie Chan choreographed fights, great lines, delightful walk on cameos by famous people. It's a really good movie! We had lots of fun at this one.
Pueblo Tinseltown was the theater - popcorn was FRESH and our favorite concession stand guy, Brian, was taking tickets today for the first time! :)
Overall Rating - 3 for Fun!
