The Cookout

Queen Latifah, Tim Meadows, Farrah Fawcett, Eve, Jonathan Silverman, Danny Glover - there is so much to like in talent in this movie! Quaran Pender is the new kid on the block, which is perfect because in this story he's Todd Anderson, the latest sensation and first draft pick in basketball. He and his family go through the real life version of the Jefferson's theme song "Movin on UP" as he suddenly finds himself with millions of dollars. What do you do to celebrate such a life event? Have a family cookout, of course!

This movie is fun. Don't think too hard, don't analyze it, sit back and eat your popcorn and laugh. It is PG-13 and doesn't push the envelope. Sarah, our 15 year old, thought it was hilarious and has been quoting lines from it ever since.

Pueblo Tinseltown was the place - Travis was our ticket taker (haven't seen him for awhile but he's back!) and the popcorn was freshly popped and delicious!

Overall rating - a 3! Lots of crazy dysfunctional-but-we-love-em family fun!
