Paul Rudd ('Knocked Up') stars in this fun movie with a great premise - a guy who realizes he just doesn't have many close guy friends in his life. He's more a girl's guy, meaning definitely hetero but spends more time with girlfriends than guyfriends.
It's a great premise, and it's pulled off pretty well. There is the mandatory projectile vomiting scene that seems to be in EVERY comedy these days. Overlooking that faux pas, it plays out well.
Jason Segel ('Forgetting Sarah Marshall') plays the guy who makes the Big Difference and teaches us all some 'life lessons'. At times they are very funny, at times just weird.
Some wonderful actors show up - Jon Favreau is way out of his norm with a bad boy character (that he plays amazingly well). Jaime Pressly ('Earl') is a great side kick for Rashida Jones ('The Office') - who is Paul Rudd's understanding, sweet, fresh faced fiance. Rashida is just adorable and that's about all she needs to be in this one. She's a fav anyway, Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton's daughter and an instant star as soon as she appeared on 'The Office'. She's in 'Parks and Recreation' also. With Peggy Lipton's genes there is no way she could go wrong. I so wanted to be her in 'Mod Squad' when I was a kid!
But I digress. This is a fun, silly, movie. It has a couple of points to make but you're better off checking your brain by the door and just munching your popcorn.
Giving it a '3' for fun. The Pueblo Tinseltown popcorn was excellent!
