Surrogates

We have seen about 5 movies lately that I completely forgot to review. OOPS. It's just that they were bad, or so marginal, so forgettable. Just wasn't inspired enough to go back over what I'd seen, frankly. Thank you for the pokes and notes asking if we'd seen this one or that one - I hear ya. When I find myself repeating in emails what we thought of a movie I realize it's time to catch up the blog. So apologies all the way around and here goes.....

From oldest to today....

Surrogates - starring Bruce Willis

This one was very intriguing on an SciFi level. I like the concept, and we're not that far off from it now. We log on to online games and we pick out our avatar and dress it and name it and then operate it through the game, interacting with other avatars and sort of connecting with people. Our avatars are pretty and thin and dressed nicely and lovely, while we're shoving food in our greasy mouths and sitting in front of the computer in our sweats or jammies. Yep, it's already happening. Surrogates just takes it to the next level.

It was fascinating on that level, the story was interesting enough, the action was decent. It just didn't go any further and felt disappointing. I kept thinking the could have done so much more..... but stopped.

It gets a '3' - popcorn at Pueblo Tinseltown was great. I now buy my cheddar Sprinkle Cheese at the concession stand instead of sneaking in my own. :) It's only $1.50 and seems to last through at least 5 or 6 movies! What a deal!
