Shark Tale

This movie got put off since my birthday on the 3rd, after I ended up in the ER with a kidney stone. :( Bad times. Anyway it did have a happy ending and Robert, Sarah and I went to see this movie later that month.

First of all this animated film was beautiful - the colors are stunning. The underwater images are just gorgeous. There is an amazing cast of stars - Will Smith, Robert DeNiro, Jack Black (whose voice we did NOT pick out at all until the end credits) and Angelina Jolie and others.... just an incredible line up of talent.

So there you have it, great cast, great images, lots of marketing, good music. So what went wrong? Well.... if you're an adult you'll be bored by the predictable formula movie that lags in the middle. If you're a kid you won't get it most likely or won't care. I think there was something missing.

It was a nice movie, definitely eye candy. Forgettable upon leaving the theater basically. Except for the little shrimp that begs the shark not to eat him in one of the opening scenes - now that little guy was great! :)

Overall rating - 2.5 Popcorn was good! Pueblo Tinseltown was the place!
