After the Sunset

We saved this movie and saw others we really wanted to first. Today was really cold, and there were a million people at the theater seeing all the goofy holiday movies, so it was the perfect time to slip into the nearly empty theater and watch After the Sunset. A nice, warm, beach movie. We thought before we went that this would be lightweight fare, a nice diamond caper, not big surprises, just lightweight fun. A movie to eat popcorn at. We were absolutely correct.

Pierce Brosnan (James Bond) and Salma Hayek (Once Upon a Time in Mexico) play retired thieves. Woody Harrelson (People vs Larry Flynt) is the FBI guy who just can't get over the fact that they got away, and who is sure they're about to pull another heist. The three pal around alot, show off skin and tanned bodies, and look like it's a tough life to make a movie in such a gorgeous location. :) The really watchable people in this one are Naomie Harris (28 Days Later) and Don Cheadle (Ocean's Eleven and Twelve), who do a good job with roles as a cop and a gangster.

There are a few twists but nothing you'll hurt yourself thinking too hard about. It was fun, a nice afternoon out of the cold, gray day and I ate too much popcorn!

Pueblo Tinseltown was the very crowded place today. Popcorn was fresh and hot!

Overall Rating - a 3 for Fun!
